The Harrisburg Heat will retire the jersey of David Bascome at halftime of the Saturday, December 29th game against the Ohio Vortex. Bascome, the All-time leading scorer in Heat history, played in Harrisburg for 11 of its 12 seasons. He is only 1 of 14 players in league history to pass the 1000 point plateau. He is Harrisburg’s all-time leader in nearly every category (points, games played, total goals, blocks and game-winning goals). His 17 year playing career finished in Baltimore, where he remains as Assistant Coach, winning 3 championships. The five-time All-Star was the league MVP runner up in 2001. The Bermuda native is also the founder of the Hope4Life Foundation which provides programs and services for youth across the globe. Bascome will join Blast Head Coach Danny Kelly, Gino DiFlorio, Bill Becher, and Richard Chinapoo as those Heat Legends honored this season at Halftime.
